I provide a range of editing services to suit your needs. I can work on any written document (or web page) that’s ready for publication. In addition to checking grammar and punctuation – please do not rely on your spellcheck – I can help with improving the clarity, layout and readability of your document.
I am a qualified proofreader and experienced copy-editor, specialising in biological sciences. I have a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol, UK and over 10 years’ experience in editing a range of documents, including textbooks, online textbooks, teacher guides, workbooks, scientific manuscripts, patient information sheets, web pages and press releases.
While my specialist area is science and medical textbooks, I am equally comfortable proofreading any type of non-scientific document – please contact me to discuss your requirements.

I am an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and have completed several of their training courses:

- Brushing up on your grammar

I have also worked my way through Barbara Horn’s Basic Editing textbook.
